Pioneering Technology

In 2007, we expanded into the embedded systems industry with the development of the XF-1020, based on the Freescale i.MX31 platform. This innovative product, introduced a year before the Apple iPod Touch, was among the first to define smart home applications, offering real-time communication and group information features. Notably, it was the world’s first device to provide a finger-swiping experience for navigating photos and videos.

Industry Leadership

Our collaboration with major clients like PeopleNet (a subsidiary of Trimble) and the development of the PD.4 fleet management terminal paved the way for our entry into fleet management and logistics, shipping over 200,000 units.

Our Founder – Jordan Ou

Founder & CEO, Jordan Ou

Jordan Ou, the founder and CEO of Waysion, has over 20 years of experience in technology and business management. A graduate of Xiamen University in 1998, Jordan Ou’s career began in the LCD TV industry. In 2003, he founded Newision Technology (Hong Kong) Ltd., followed by the establishment of Waysion Technology (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. in 2005. Under his leadership, the company expanded its product offerings to include in-vehicle displays, navigation systems, and touch-screen monitors, primarily for export to Europe and North America.

In 2005, Jordan Ou co-founded the NEWISION brand with Thomas Menn and Markus Mueller in Germany, ensuring that every product adhered to German design standards. This partnership marked a pivotal moment in the company’s global expansion. A few years later, the company made its mark in the embedded systems industry with the XF-1020, which was a pioneering product in the smart device category.
